Myung-Bo Thinks QPR Should Release Suk-Yound ASAP

South Korea manager Hong Myung-Bo has stated that championship outfit, QPR, should consider releasing his defender Yun Suk-young at the least time possible. Yun Suk-young is currently playing for QPR and if he will be involved in the Championship play-off final against Derby County. Hence, it is understood that QPR are unwilling to allow him to leave the club before this key match, which could be helpful towards getting back into the Premier league. QPR failed to qualify for the Premier league automatically, but they still have a chance to do so when they take on Derby at the Wembley.

Hong Myung-bo Announces Squad

Arsenal midfielder Park Chu-young has been surprisingly named in the South Korea’s squad for the World Cup 2014 despite not having played regularly for the Premier League club. The 28-year-old has been an Arsenal player since 2011, but he has made just one appearance for the English club in all these years. He has been on loan at Celta de Vigo and Watford during this period, but even then, he has been unable to get regular game time. This has increased speculation that he would miss out on the World Cup 2014 spot.

NO INJURIES

The World Cup 2014 begins in less than 100 days and South Korea’s National team coach Hong Myung-bo has stated that he does not want any of his players get injured again of this major tournament.

South Korea will be in the same group containing the likes of Algeria, Belgium, and Russia. Belgium have already been put forward as the favourites for the group victory, but it will be a straight fight between Algeria, Russia, and South Korea for the final qualifying spot.

BACK IN THE TEAM

Arsenal striker Park Chu-young has managed to get back into the South Korean national team after being recalled by manager Hong Myung-bo for the upcoming match against Greece. This will be one of the final preparations for South Korea ahead of the World Cup 2014.

The future of Park Chu-young at international level has been highly speculated after the 28-year-old has failed to make a first-team appearance for Arsenal in a long time. However, he recently made the move to Championship outfit Watford on a season-long loan deal.

SENG-YONG JOINS RANGDAJIED

The North Korean player, Kim Seng-Yong, has joined the Indian club Rangdajied United.

Rangdajied has bought Yong from Nakhon Ratchasima which is a Thai club. The Korean has signed a 1-year deal with his new club.

Yong has featured for his national side North Korea as well, not at the senior level, but, at U-23 level. Apart from that, he has quite a bit of experience at club level too. He has played for the Japanese club Kyoto Sanga FC for a couple of years. So, he can be considered as a good buy for the struggling Rangdajied United side.

PERMISSION GRANTED

The South Korean government has granted permission to the North Korean women’s national football team to land in Seoul where the East Asian Championships is going to be organized.

Earlier, there were speculations that because of the severe tensions between the two countries in recent years, the South Korean government might not allow the North Korean team to land in Seoul, but, those speculations turned out to be wrong.

IS NEYMAR WORLD’S BEST?

Brazil national team manager Scolari has praised the performance of Santos striker Neymar following the 2-2 draw with Italy in a friendly match. This is the second match in charge for the new manager after taking over from Mano Menezes a few months ago.

However, he is still searching for this first victory in the second spell at the helm of Brazilian football. Scolari’s Brazil managed to take a 2-0 lead in the match despite being outplayed by Italy for most of the encounter. However, Italy hit back in the second half with two goals to level the match.
