Arsenal have reportedly made an offer for Leganes forward Youssef En-Nesyri, according to reports from his native country Morocco. According to media reports, the 22-year-old could be on his way to the Emirates in the summer after Arsenal submitted a formal offer for the player.
En-Nesyri was impressive for Spanish side Leganes this season scoring 11 goals and providing two assists in all competitions. He was also part of the Morocco national team that took part in the 2018 World Cup and scored in the 2-2 draw with Spain.
The forward is highly rated in Spain with the likes of Real Betis, Tottenham, Schalke, Borussia Dortmund reportedly interested in the player.
Arsenal views En-Nesyri as an affordable signing who can bring depth to the forward positions. Danny Welbeck is expected to leave the club in the summer and En-Nesyri would be a decent replacement for the Englishman.
Meanwhile Tottenham view En-Nesyri as a player that can bring good depth to the forward line. Spurs have regularly suffered due to lack of options apart from Harry Kane and Fernando Llorente.
South Korea star Son has deputized well in the forward positions but he prefers to cut inside from wide positions. Tottenham are almost certain to spend in the summer after a few windows of inactivity.
Lille ace Nicolas Pepe has also been linked with the club but En-Nesyri is seen as a very affordable transfer for the London club.
The Moroccan is 6ft 2 and good with his back to the goal which makes him an ideal fit for the Premier League. He is also strong in the air and has a keen eye for creating and converting goalscoring opportunities.
A fee of £10 million is thought to be sufficient to complete the deal and he would be an astute signing for either team.
